I don't know if this has ever been addressed in this family, if it has I apologize. I wanted to state my desire to lower the volume at Deep Groove / Inferknow events. I know that a lot of people like feeling bass, but I think you can feel it quite well without the speakers blowing out people's ears. Mine were ringing for hours after Green Day. I enjoy these events A LOT and I don't get to go to enough of them, but if I knew that the volume was more tolerable I'd make a point to come more often. You might say "well just bring ear plugs", but that just isn't realistic. People don't remember these things, and their hearing shouldn't suffer as a result. I like being able to talk and connect with people while dancing without having to shout. It makes my experience much more pleasant. Also, people are starting to bring kids and babies to these events, and NO they're not using ear plugs. These kids might lose their hearing and I cringe watching them. It's actually really hard to get ear plugs into a kids' ears, they pull them right out.
This is in no way a criticism, it's a true safety concern. I love what you do and would like to see these events safe for everyone attending.

Re: Volume
Mon, March 31, 2008 - 3:19 PMThis is a valid point,
but
when you are dealing with sound in a large space, and that amount of people. Those volumes is what makes a balance for everone to hear, and the sound guy to correct it in the back....
I Will highly bring this up about ear plugs.. Bulk Ear plugs are cheep, and could probably be given out or charge $1 for them...
Ear Muffs are always a good solution for Kids as well..
This is a topic for everyone to be conscious of. Toilet paper is also a good cheep fix for the ears.
How will we be able to party down the road if we can't hear????
WHAT?????

Mon, March 31, 2008 - 6:47 PMI believe Costco sells them in bulk but I highly doubt theyre worth $1. Great idea to give out at the door if anyone wants 'em though.
